Betsy and I met with Hollis Misiewicz her chemotherapy nurse practitioner today in preparation for Betsy’s first taxol and carboplatin infusion this coming Monday morning.
It was a good meeting and we left with several prescriptions for drugs that will help mitigate the chemotherapy’s various side effect.
Hollis also provide Betsy a prescription for a cranial prosthesis which she’ll want in place within two weeks of the first infusion.
Also next week, on Wednesday, we’ll have a follow up with her primary physician, Dr. Boice.
Stay tuned and keep the prayers and comments coming.

Hi Betsy,
It sounds like you are in excellent hands at AAMC with Hollis. It must be reassuring to have someone to call who knows you, can answer any questions that come up and who will be your advocate. That's what is so special about being a nurse, and you are one of the best yourself!!

Well it sounds like you're in good hands. I had to look up cranial prosthesis and it is so neat that you can get a prescription for one. Now that you have the opportunity to pick any hair you want, don't forget blonds have more fun, you might want to try it! Thinking of you often, praying for you daily. Love you, Jenn
P.S. Good luck Monday.
