Monday, June 02, 2008 – Evening came, and morning followed.

Betsy had a relatively comfortable night. She isn’t hooked up to anything other then oxygen and only got some pain medication to take the edge off the catheter in her back.

She’s still pretty wiped out, and her dance card is full today with her undergoing a Nuclear Cardiac Stress Test.

We suspect that though she may not be in the ICU much longer, she may be here at AAMC for awhile to get her strong enough to undergo the chemotherapy that she needs to fight the cancer.

Stay tuned.

PS: Bonus points will be awarded to the reader who can tell everyone were today’s title comes from.

Well, teenmike beat me to it, but Genesis, of course. Well Tom, I'm suprise I didn't see you at AAMC this weekend. My lovely bride, Judy, had emergency surgery at AAMC Sunday afternoon to have her gall bladder removed. Pretty tame stuff compared to what Betsy is going through.

Shalom,

Chris

Betsy and TR, things have got to get better! With all the prayers going, the green light must be right around the corner. I hope the latest procedure will help you get ready for the chemo. I know how determined both of you are and focused on whatever is needed to be done. Keep the faith and listen to the experts. We are there in spirit with you everyday.

Hi Tom,

I don't think I've ever met your wife Betsy, but having worked with you for the past four years, I can only imagine that she is an incredibly strong woman. ;-)
Thanks for keeping everyone updated via your blog.
Betsy, get well soon!

Best regards,

Eric T.

Tom & Betsy,

I sat with Chris while Judy was in surgery and if I'd known, I'd have come to see you and maybe bring you a laugh or a hug.

Seems like you have plenty of takers for the grass cutting; so, if there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Deb

PS - Tom, my Dad sends his best.
